Hi, I’m Marzy! I’m a 25-year-old doctoral student in sport management who spends an embarrassing amount of time thinking about hockey.
This blog is my little corner of the internet where those two worlds collide: the rink and the research. Expect deep dives into what’s happening around the hockey world—trades, trends, team culture, you name it—alongside some academic musings on the sport management side of things. Think less academia, more “I had three thoughts about this at 11pm and needed somewhere to put them.”
I started this because I kept finding myself wanting to talk about hockey in ways that didn’t quite fit a class discussion, and wanting to talk about my research in ways that didn’t quite fit the group chat. So here we are.
Whether you’re a hockey fan, a fellow grad student, or just someone who stumbled in, welcome. Grab a seat, the puck drops soon.
